Austin Healey 3000 MKII Tri Carb
SOLD OCTOBER 2017
In 1962 the MKII tri carb was the last in the range of flat screen cars. Fitted with the later centre change gearbox and triple carbs it paved the way to more acceleration and ergonomics with a better position for the gear stick.
This actual vehicle was destined for export to Northern Europe and is fitted with twin indicator and side lights as a requirement of the road traffic laws in the country of its original destination but it actually went to Michigan US, probably with a US serviceman, this in itself makes a rare vehicle having had the shrouds modified at the factory. We often fit auxiliary lights on the rear of early cars as a precaution against indicators not being seen, this car has it already.
Presented in Old English white this Healey sits and drives as a Healey should, with a great roar from the exhaust and the triple carbs.
Owned for the last 19 years by an avid club member. The car has been on numerous trips to France and other European destinations on club runs without any issues.
The car will come with a full years MOT at point of sale, all wet weather equipment is present and is fitted with a full length tonneau cover.
All in all a great Healey, not concours but ready to use and enjoy.
Please call the garage on 01420 564343 and ask for Bill Rawles to arrange a viewing and test drive.
