Austin Healey 3000 MKIII

Built in January 1967, Austin Healey 3000 MKIII MKD 44E was dispatched to the USA just as you see the car today, red with a black interior.

Repatriated and restored, the car has been in current long-term ownership of 12 years where it has been enjoyed and driven for 20,000 miles around the UK and Europe. This Healey offers a reliable package and a comprehensive history file which shows that the car has always been maintained by specialists and in recent years, by us at Bill Rawles Classic Cars MKD 44E has been looked after and serviced with no expense spared.

With reliability improvements such as an uprated core radiator, electronic distributor, negative earth and alternator conversion, just to name a few, this Healey is up-to-date and ready to go.

On the road the car goes well, gear changes are smooth, and it drives great, just as you would expect. The car presents very well, clean and tidy throughout and the inner wheel arches and underside are clean and is painted body colour red and on inspection, the vehicle can be viewed on a ramp.

Every car has faults and whilst the faults are limited, I would be happy to point out known faults, all of which are cosmetic. The hood has a repair which is waterproof but is not perfect. Rear bumper chrome is presentable but slightly fading. Overall, the car presents beautifully and is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
