Built and dispatched in October 1966 to New York, USA, this Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII left the factory originally painted in black and like so many cars, it has now been repatriated to the UK and painted in a more popular colour, Old English White.
The car is presented today in good condition and is painted Old English White, with a very high-quality red interior. Maintained until 2016 by a marque specialist, the car boasts a large history file with MOT history of nearly 30 years and many receipts of work completed. Work completed by a marque specialist included but is not limited to, new fast road aluminium cylinder head, front and rear suspension upgrades and rebuild, differential rebuild, high torque starter and negative earth conversion. In recent years, the car has continued to be maintained locally to the customer to a very high standard and has been looked after with no expense spared.
The interior was retrimmed and a new black mohair tonneau and hood really sets the car off. It is without doubt, this car has been well maintained and would offer great usability for either local or continental trips. The current owner has used the car often but has decided to sell the car and is keen for the car to go to a good home.
