Built in 1974, this Jaguar E-Type Series 3, V12 has been in long term family ownership since the mid 1980’s.

With an interesting history file dating back to 1977, this car and its MOT history can be traced back to confirm this genuine mileage. The history file, dating back to the 1970’s also includes many photos of the E-Type included in family life as well as magazine photo shoots.

Up close, the car is in fair but used condition and has been a regular driver for the current owner up until sale with frequent and reliable use. There are signs of cosmetic wear to the paintwork, the interior and the engine bay but the car offers fantastic value at under £40,000 for a Jaguar E-Type.

On the road the car drives very nicely, the V12 is a fantastic engine, and the gearbox is direct. The engine feels good but does have a tap which is most likely tappet adjustment or exhaust manifold leak. It should be expected with any classic car in this condition, that it will require maintenance and work during the time of ownership, but it is offered ready to enjoy as it has been in regular use.
