2016 is our fifth year of hosting our coffee morning at our workshop situated at our home

Coffee Morning Dates for your Diary

In 2012 we had an idea to start a monthly classic car coffee morning centred at our workshop. The workshop is situated behind our house. We have quite a large garden and all the home to home facilities at hand to cater for all our visitors. Being a small family run business we never forget that people and their passion for their cars are at the centre of it. We like to make our visitors feel very welcome and as part of our extended hospitality we started our coffee mornings. The thinking behind this idea was to provide a destination to drive out to, meet other classic car enthusiasts and to enjoy an informal, casual, lively, fun morning. With our strong family values we have created a gathering that provides something for everyone. We are well equipped to cope with all family members and we will always endeavour to entertain the younger ones too. We can raid the loft for old toys or get out a bit of glue and glitter. So everyone is entertained, and feels welcome, including your well behaved dogs.

We open up our garden and workshop and welcome our visitors to enjoy themselves, socialise and relax. We provide the refreshments and have become well known for our spread of homemade cakes, biscuits and goodies. The coffee mornings run from 10 until 1 O’clock and sometimes when the sun has been shining we have seen people sitting in the garden, well into the afternoon, soaking up the atmosphere, whilst letting all that cake go down!

We also take the opportunity to collect for charity. We would like to thank everyone who has generously donated over the last few years. This year we will be collecting for the Alton, Petersfield & District Branch of The Multiple Sclerosis Society and our local Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

So 5 years later the gathering has grown and its popularity has become quite evident as we welcome regular comers and new faces too. We get a fantastic and interesting collection of cars, not just Healeys. Our Bill Rawles Classic Cars team are on hand to answer any questions and by prior arrangement you can book a slot to put your vehicle up on a ramp for you to inspect the underneath.

If you want to make a day out, stopping off at our coffee morning and then carrying onto somewhere else, there are many places to go, lovely scenery, enjoyable country lanes to drive around and great country pubs to eat in. For a trip out from us we have many National Trust venues on our doorstep, The New Forest, the coast, Goodwood, South Downs, museums, The Watercress Line and Jane Austen’s House, just to mention a few ideas. We are also in a great location to access Winchester, Petersfield, Farnham, Basingstoke and Guildford.
