Jack Rawles, 16 year old son of Bill Rawles is definitely following in his father’s steps and has a passion for motorsport and classic cars. Jack Rawles, the two-time Ginetta Junior Scholarship finalist, narrowly missed out on the chance to win a full funded season and was determined to race in the 2013 Junior Ginetta Championship with a limited budget and unable to afford to run as part of a professional team. Bill Rawles stepped up to the challenge and decided that, with his wealth of motorsport experience, car set up knowledge and track time, he would run his son as a privateer. The one-make championship sees drivers aged 14-17 compete in identical Ginetta G40J race cars and is renowned for exciting, action-packed racing, as it’s drivers battle it out to make a name for themselves in the motorsport world. The juniors support The British Touring Car Championship and each race weekend has live coverage on ITV 4.

Lawrence Tomlinson, Ginetta Chairman said; “It is great to see Jack on the grid for 2013; he impressed us at the Ginetta Junior Scholarship two years in a row with a combination of his driving skill and knowledge of the business. Not only does Jack have the on-track experience, he also understands the core values of Ginetta and what makes the business tick. I am looking forward to seeing how he gets on against competitors old and new.”
