Austin-Healey 100/6

Built in 1957, this Austin-Healey 100/6, like most Healeys, was dispatched to the USA. However, unlike most Healey’s, this car was used sparingly until 1959 when it was put into storage, unbelievably, until 1990 when it was purchased and imported by the current owner.
The vehicle was restored to a good standard in the 1990’s and as you can see, proves itself as a presentable and usable car which is ready to be enjoyed.
Most recently, the vehicle has been through our workshops with the owner wanting to get the vehicle into good order before considering sale to a new custodian which cost just over £5,000 and completed all necessary improvements and maintenance.
The vehicle received an inspection and report followed by a range of works to bring the car up to spec, such as a full service, replacement of perished gearbox bushes, replacement of both engine mounting rubbers, pinion oil seal, new coolant hoses, electrical repairs and improvements including a new dynamo and repair of the charging system, replacement of rubber fuel hoses to ethanol proof hose and the largest single expense of new Vredestein tyres all round.
On the road, the car is a joy to drive, it is spritely and stops well, nothing better than a Healey on a sunny day, it really puts a smile on your face. The vehicle is supplied with a tonneau cover and vinyl roof.
A vehicle that has been cherished and put into fine fettle for the next owner, which is not always the case with sales cars which often lack investment from owners in the final years before sale.
Ready to be enjoyed this summer. The vehicle is located at our workshops in Hampshire and is ready to be road tested, ramp inspected and purchased.

Did you know? We do not own our sales cars, we sell on a fixed commission of £1,800 +vat which is included in the price, this is not % based incentivised commission sale, so we feel our cars are priced at the correct market values. Every car is checked and inspected before sale, and we are happy to discuss defects and potential issues as well as positives and point these out before purchase.
