Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII

Built in May 1967, and one of the last Austin-Healey produced, this is an excellent example of Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII (BJ8). Ready to hit the roads and enjoy the sunny days. This car left the factory as an original right hand drive, one of only 176 right hand drive cars built in 1967. In fact, there was only 1,146 RHD MKIII’s built from a total of 17,712 and presented in wholly original specification and very good condition and crucially, matching numbers. 

This 3000 is very original and well-kept. With restoration completed in 1991, to a high standard, car presents very well. There is some benefit in purchasing an older restoration and it shows the quality as it continues to stand the test of time but as to be expected, does have some age-related marks. Originally leaving the factory finished in Ivory White, the car is now finished in Colorado red. 

This Healey was supplied with a few extras from new, such as; wire wheels, overdrive, a heater, adjustable steering column, laminated windscreen, black tonneau covers and road speed tyres.  

The car is supplied today with a full history file, that includes past receipts, details of the restoration, V5C, heritage certificate, tonneau, 2 sets of keys, a hood bag and a spare wheel.  

The underside is in fantastic condition, and the car benefits from a recent service by the owner as well as full inspection and report by our workshops prior to sale. A great base for anyone looking for a more original spec car or a vehicle that could be used for national and European touring. 

On the road, the car is a joy to drive, it has been owned and maintained by the current owner who is an active and diligent club member who has a number of cars and is wanting to reduce his collection. A super car, well-presented and ready to go.
