Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII Rally Car
For those drivers who want to do some serious rallying or road touring, this Austin-Healey is spec’d to be capable of exactly that. With 12 starts and finishes in the Monte Carlo Historic, the car has pedigree and track record as a successful competition car.
Built by John Chatham in the spirit of the original works rally cars, it features many special developments seen on the original works cars as well as further developments for modern touring and rallying. The car boasts a great spec and large spares package for anyone who is looking to start or continue rallying.
General history, the car was built by John Chatham before being sold to Norway in 1985. The current owner bought the car in 2004 and has registered the car nr. Oslo, Norway. The car is available for worldwide shipping and delivery by separate negotiation. For an onsite inspection, the car can be viewed near Oslo, Norway, with Jack Rawles present for consultancy and advice.

Rally San Remo Historic 3 times.

All rallies started were finished.
A full rally car painted in red with fibreglass wings, and aluminium bodywork, vented front wings, louvred bonnet and works style boot lid and hard top.
Safety equipment includes rally seats, harness, roll over cage, plumbed in extinguisher, collapsible steering column and 2 spot and 2 fog lamps.
A new engine was built in the UK in 2012 by Dan Howell.
Specific rally upgrades include 4-wheel disc brakes and 90 litre fuel tank with spare wheel over the top. 2 fact fuel pumps ensure reliable fuel delivery. Door sill exhaust, uprated rear springs, E-trip with diode for driver, Brantz trip, Halda, clocks and co-driver lights.
The gearbox is a Toyota 5 speed. The car is supplied with 31 wheels with a range of tyres from summer sports tyres, rain tyres and winter tyres with spikes.
Undoubtedly, a competition car which is ready to be enjoyed, a reluctant sale but well priced ready to go on to the stages of Europe once again.
